1 bottle red wine (Spanish red, merlot or cabernet)
½ cup cognac
¼ cup orange liqueur
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 cup chilled seltzer water or citrus soft drink (7-Up, Squirt, Sierra Mist)
Wash and slice fruit. Dissolve sugar in cognac and orange liqueur. In a large pitcher or jug, combine fruit slices, cognac/liqueur/sugar mixture and one bottle of wine. Chill for at least 8 hours. Prior to serving, add 1 cup seltzer water or citrus soft drink. Serve over ice if desired.
